According to an article posted yesterday by Business Insider tech reporter Brandt Ranj, a Facebook representative has stated that they will not use facebook in order to sway the election either which way.
In the article, Mr. Ranj quotes the representative as having the following comment on the issue:
“Voting is a core value of democracy and we believe that supporting civic participation is an important contribution we can make to the community. We encourage any and all candidates, groups, and voters to use our platform to share their views on the election and debate the issues. We as a company are neutral — we have not and will not use our products in a way that attempts to influence how people vote.”
Good way to cover your ass there Facebook rep. As far as a canned answer goes, I’ve seen worse (ex. every time John Earnest talks) and I’ve seen better (ex. every time Bill Belichick has lost a game), but claiming to be neutral when your company has a history of censorship against conservatives in USA, Germany and even Canada, in the past.

The Darn Messenger
